Angela Bergling works in media such as photography and video. In her works the artist invites the viewer to participate in her cultural world of observation. Often used for socio-political issues and personal experiences. She grew up with two 'homes', she is born to a German father and a Swiss mother. She lives and works in Berlin and Switzerland. Bergling was the youngest artist to receive the 'European Photography Award' early in 1987, the works were shown at the Frankfurter Kunstverein am Römerberg. She studied under Prof. Dr. Gottfried Jaeger in Bielefeld.

The carefully selected color pigment arrangements of the HOCHLÆNDER – Melting Glaciers are prominent. It is a game of close observation and her forward-looking imagination with regard to the changing nature of alpine landscapes and environment. The work is a ‘call to action’ already from the year 2010 to this day 2024. Not only is the viewer provoked to change perspective to the imaging process of photography. The viewer is given the opportunity to re-understand his relationship to the subject.
Another Work 'KONSTRUKT WASSER – Notes on Automation, on the future of Homo sapiens' 2020 is a video experiment.
