Universities Introduce Themselves

Once again, the German Photographic Association (DGPh) is offering universities a forum for presentation within the context of Internationale Photoszene 2019 in Cologne.

On 10 and 11 May, an image projection generated by multiple projectors will show photographic positions by students from international universities at the Museum of Applied Arts Cologne (MAKK). International universities that offer photography courses are invited to submit their works.

The choice of simultaneous projection as a format offers the jury-selected universities the opportunity to show representative photos by their students to a broad public. In a condensed selection, visiting photo enthusiasts will thus gain first impressions of the visual languages, focuses and positions of the 18 selected photo schools. The photos will be presented in a loop throughout the Museum’s opening hours on 10 and 11 May – entrance free of charge for all interested viewers.

Alongside the Board of the Education department – Dr. Sandra Abend, Berti Kamps and Jan Schmolling – the jury will comprise the Board Members of the Image department – Bettina Flitner, Christoph Bangert and Manfred Linke.

Application online only.

The deadline for submissions is 15 March 2019.
